What you'll do

As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be responsible for securing service-to-service communications across Amazon's entire ecosystem. You will work on systems that respond to millions of requests per minute, ensuring that actors are authenticated and authorized to take the requested actions. Your contributions will directly impact the security and reliability of Amazon's services, including the retail website, Alexa, and Kindle.

You will collaborate with a team of engineers to develop and maintain security software that operates at the intersection of system resiliency, constant availability, and rapid deployment capabilities. Your role will involve designing and implementing solutions that enhance the security posture of Amazon's services while ensuring a seamless user experience.

You will also be expected to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge of best practices in software development and security. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly will be essential as you work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
