Reddit is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the Feed Relevance team in building scalable personalization systems. You'll work with Python, TensorFlow, and AWS to enhance user experience for millions of users. This role requires extensive experience in machine learning and system architecture.
You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models at scale. You possess deep expertise in Python and are comfortable working with frameworks like TensorFlow to build robust systems. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical direction and strategy, ensuring that your solutions meet user needs effectively. You have a solid understanding of data analysis and can leverage data to inform your engineering decisions. You thrive in a remote work environment and are adept at communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about personalization and ranking systems, and you understand the importance of user experience in driving engagement.
Experience with AWS services is a plus, as is familiarity with data infrastructure and core engineering principles. You may have worked in environments that prioritize scalability and performance, and you are eager to mentor junior engineers and contribute to their growth.
In this role, you will lead the development of end-to-end systems that power personalization and ranking for Reddit's feeds. You will be instrumental in defining the technical direction for the Feed Relevance team, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering leadership to set the strategy. Your hands-on development work will focus on building scalable, extensible, and highly performant systems that serve tens of millions of users. You will work with other engineers to iterate and continuously improve the user experience, ensuring that the systems you build are not only effective but also efficient. You will partner with Infra and Platform teams to inform the direction of core infrastructure, contributing to the future of Reddit's technology stack. Your leadership will help guide the team in executing their vision and achieving their goals.
