Enviva is seeking a Utility Operator to manage the continuous operation of their plant, focusing on safety and equipment operation. This role requires knowledge of heavy equipment and the ability to perform basic maintenance.
You are knowledgeable and experienced with heavy equipment operation, capable of safely and efficiently performing all essential functions of the job. You are a quick learner who can work with little to no supervision and understand and follow written and verbal job instructions. Your ability to operate machinery in a timely and safe manner sets you apart. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with superior cognitive and systems knowledge to achieve production goals. Proficiency in mathematics is also beneficial.
As a Utility Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for all aspects of the continuous operation of the plant, including safety, equipment operation, monitoring, machine setup, and cleaning. You will operate mobile equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, lulls, and front-end loaders. Daily inspections of equipment will be part of your routine, along with performing basic maintenance to keep equipment in clean, good working order. You will support and carry out activities involving routine inspections and maintenance of the dryer, furnace, emissions, and environmental equipment. Daily preventative maintenance of equipment and standard work cleaning activities of emissions equipment strainers, tooling changes, housekeeping, and washdowns will also be part of your responsibilities.
