Overview

Axonius is seeking an Employment Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance on employment matters for a global company. This role requires 5+ years of experience as an employment attorney and offers the opportunity to work remotely across the United States.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced Employment Counsel with over 5 years of full-time legal experience, either in a law firm or an in-house legal department. You hold a JD or equivalent degree and are currently admitted to the Bar in at least one jurisdiction. Your expertise lies in providing legal advice on a wide range of employment matters, including hiring, performance management, and workplace investigations. You have a strong understanding of employment law and are adept at drafting agreements and developing policies to ensure legal compliance across various jurisdictions.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Human Resources and executive management to address employee relations issues and mitigate legal risks. Your ability to manage employment litigation and agency complaints showcases your strategic thinking and case management skills. You are committed to promoting best practices and legal compliance within a geographically dispersed workforce, particularly focusing on the US and Israel.

Desirable

You have experience overseeing employment litigation and coordinating with outside counsel, which enhances your capability to handle complex legal matters. Your strong communication skills allow you to provide clear legal recommendations and risk assessments to various departments, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the primary legal advisor on all employment matters for Axonius, a dynamic global company. You will provide day-to-day legal counsel on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring practices, performance management, accommodations, leaves, and terminations. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and updating essential employment documentation such as offer letters, proprietary information agreements, and employee handbooks. You will also advise and collaborate with the People Team and management on employee relations issues, providing specific risk assessments and legal recommendations.

You will manage and oversee all employment litigation and agency complaints, developing strategies and coordinating with outside counsel as necessary. Your role will require you to stay updated on employment law changes and best practices, ensuring that the company remains compliant and proactive in its approach to employment matters. You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's employment policies and practices, contributing to a positive workplace culture and legal compliance across the organization.
