ITHAKA is seeking an Intern, Machine Learning Engineering to assist in designing and implementing machine learning solutions. You'll work with Python and machine learning concepts to address real-world applications. This internship is ideal for students with a background in applied machine learning.
You are a driven student with a background in applied machine learning and data science — you have experience with machine learning projects through coursework, personal projects, or industry experience. You possess a solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and techniques, which you are eager to apply in a practical setting. You are detail-oriented and capable of performing data analysis to ensure quality and identify insights that inform model development. You are also comfortable documenting and sharing your research findings with your team, fostering a collaborative environment.
In this internship, you will design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that address real-world use cases — your work will involve researching and implementing innovative machine learning techniques. You will perform data analysis to ensure the quality of data and identify insights that will inform the development of models. Additionally, you will develop and implement robust evaluation frameworks, including creating ground truth datasets to assess model performance and reliability. Fine-tuning models to enhance their performance and scalability will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with the AI/ML team, contributing to projects that expand access to knowledge and education.
ITHAKA offers a full-time internship spanning 12 weeks, beginning on June 1, 2026 — you will work 40 hours per week in a supportive environment that values your contributions.
