Overview

Block is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Risk Automation to drive the vision and execution of AI-powered products. You'll work closely with engineering and data teams to enhance risk management processes. This role requires expertise in automation and AI.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in risk or compliance domains — you've successfully led teams to deliver impactful products that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Your background includes a strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications in business processes, allowing you to identify opportunities for automation that align with user needs.

You are a strategic thinker who can develop and communicate a clear product vision — your ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies is a key strength. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering, data, and operations teams to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes.

Your experience includes managing product roadmaps and prioritizing features based on user feedback and business impact — you are adept at balancing short-term wins with long-term strategic goals. You understand the importance of metrics and data in guiding product decisions and are comfortable using analytics tools to measure success.

You are passionate about building inclusive products that empower users — you believe in the value of diverse perspectives and actively seek input from various stakeholders to inform your decisions. You are also committed to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Desirable

Experience in financial technology or compliance sectors is a plus — familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks will help you navigate the complexities of this role. A background in data science or analytics can enhance your ability to leverage AI effectively in product development.

What you'll do

As the Senior Product Manager for Risk Automation at Block, you will own the strategy and roadmap for AI-powered products that enhance risk and compliance workflows — your role will involve identifying high-leverage opportunities for automation and driving them from concept through execution. You will collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to design and implement solutions that improve decision quality and operational efficiency.

You will lead user research initiatives to understand the needs of stakeholders and ensure that the products you develop address real-world challenges — your insights will guide the development process and help prioritize features that deliver measurable business impact. You will also define success metrics for your products and use data to inform ongoing improvements.

Your responsibilities will include managing the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ensuring that all teams are aligned on goals and timelines — you will facilitate cross-functional meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders. You will also be responsible for presenting product updates and performance metrics to senior leadership, showcasing the value of your initiatives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of risk management at Block — your contributions will directly impact how the company leverages technology to enhance customer protection and business resilience. You will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration, and you will have the chance to mentor junior team members as they grow in their careers.
