Confluent is seeking a Head of Solutions Engineering & Professional Services to lead a team in Japan focused on customer success and technical guidance. This role requires strong leadership skills and a customer-centric approach.
You are an experienced technical leader with a strong focus on customer success and solutions engineering. You have a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering exceptional service to clients. Your ability to ask hard questions and provide honest feedback fosters a collaborative environment where your team can thrive. You understand the importance of aligning technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring that customers derive maximum value from the products they adopt.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in the data streaming or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with Confluent’s Data Streaming Platform. In this role, you will lead a team of Solutions Engineers, Delivery, and Customer Success Architects in Japan. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the ongoing health of customers by providing both business-focused and deeply technical guidance as they adopt Confluent’s Data Streaming Platform. You will drive customer value and technical health while supporting business goals for renewal, expansion, and strategic growth.
You will collaborate closely with your team to develop and implement strategies that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. By leveraging your technical expertise, you will help your team address customer challenges and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing your team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Your leadership will be instrumental in building strong relationships with customers, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align customer feedback with product development, helping to shape the future of Confluent’s offerings.
