Google is seeking a Senior Conversation Interaction Designer to create seamless interactions for digital systems. You'll leverage your expertise in UX design and conversational interfaces across various platforms. This role requires 6+ years of experience in interaction design.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design. With at least 5 years of conversation design experience, you are skilled in designing voice, conversational, AI, or multi-modal interfaces for diverse user contexts. Your portfolio showcases your work and demonstrates your ability to create engaging user experiences.
You hold a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience. Your background includes experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, and leading content strategy projects. You have a strong understanding of design strategy and design thinking, and you are familiar with creating and implementing design systems.
You are passionate about user experience and understand the importance of focusing on the user in all design processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to advocate for user-centric conversational solutions while balancing technical and business requirements.
Experience designing for products and services that span multiple hardware platforms is a plus. You have a keen interest in the latest trends in conversational design and are eager to apply your knowledge to create innovative solutions that enhance user interactions.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise to create seamless and natural interactions for digital systems across various surfaces. You will guide User Experience Writing across the product portfolio, establishing voice and tone guidelines to ensure a consistent and engaging language experience across all touchpoints. Your work will involve collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to gather insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors.
You will play a key role in advocating for user-centric conversational solutions, ensuring that the design aligns with both user needs and business goals. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving the success of your projects. You will also be responsible for leading content strategy projects, ensuring that the content is not only informative but also engaging and user-friendly.
