Who you are

You are a motivated individual eager to start your career in a technical environment, particularly in critical infrastructure operations. You have a hands-on understanding of how critical environment equipment works and are capable of recognizing safe versus unsafe work environments. You are comfortable coordinating with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You are detail-oriented and possess the ability to respond to onsite incidents while collaborating with other critical facilities professionals. You are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience or familiarity with datacenter operations or critical environment equipment is a plus. A background in electrical or mechanical engineering can be beneficial, but not required. You are open to learning and growing within the organization, taking advantage of training and development opportunities offered by Microsoft.

What you'll do

As a Critical Environment Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure that supports Microsoft’s cloud services. Your responsibilities will include performing various types of maintenance on critical environment equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. You will monitor equipment performance using telemetry and other platforms, responding promptly to any incidents that may arise. You will work closely with other professionals in the field, coordinating efforts to maintain a safe and effective work environment. Your role will also involve participating in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in critical environment operations.
