What you'll do

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the FinOps team, you will lead initiatives that enhance financial visibility and accountability across Plaid's engineering-related spending. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that spending decisions are aligned with product strategy and business goals. Your role will involve analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights that help teams optimize their budgets. You will facilitate discussions around financial planning and resource allocation, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the decision-making process.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing processes that promote financial transparency and accountability within the organization. This includes creating frameworks for tracking and reporting on spending, as well as establishing best practices for budget management. Your ability to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner will be crucial in helping teams understand their financial responsibilities and opportunities for optimization.

In addition, you will work closely with the engineering teams to understand their financial needs and challenges, providing guidance and support as they navigate their budgets. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of financial ownership within the organization, empowering teams to take charge of their spending and make informed decisions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
