Handshake is seeking Health and Safety Engineers to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide structured feedback. No AI experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for professionals in the field.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in health and safety engineering or related fields. Your background includes investigating industrial accidents and occupational diseases, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and conducting safety evaluations of product designs. You are comfortable working independently and can provide clear, structured feedback to enhance AI models based on your expertise. You are open to learning new skills and adapting to the evolving landscape of AI in your field.
In this role, you will evaluate AI models by leveraging your professional experience in health and safety. You will assess content related to your field of work and deliver structured feedback that strengthens the model's understanding of workplace tasks and language. Your work will be flexible, allowing you to contribute between 5 to 20 hours per week, depending on project availability. You will develop prompts for AI models that reflect your field and evaluate the responses to ensure they meet industry standards. This position is remote and asynchronous, providing you with the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States.
