Google is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to provide technical support and resolve deployment obstacles for Google Cloud. You'll work with Java, Python, SQL, and various database technologies. This role requires 5+ years of experience in technical support or software development.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience reading or debugging code in languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, or Go, you are well-versed in technical support and software development. Your experience includes working with SQL and NoSQL databases, and you possess the ability to communicate fluently in English to interact with regional customers and stakeholders.
You have a strong background in administering and querying data in distributed databases and are familiar with distributed data processing frameworks. Your knowledge extends to database administration, Google App Engine, and cloud networking solutions. You understand networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, and Load Balancing, and have system/network administrator level knowledge of Linux/Unix or operating systems. Additionally, you are knowledgeable about basic web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, DNS, and TCP.
Experience with open source software communities and distributed computing technology is a plus. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your technical expertise allows you to advocate for customer needs effectively and work with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.
As a Technical Solutions Engineer at Google, you will be part of a dedicated team that ensures 24-hour customer support.
