Apple is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on developing innovative manufacturing processes for next-generation Audio products. This role requires strong experience in manufacturing engineering and leadership skills.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics/Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. With over 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, you have spent at least 3 years in a leadership or management role, ideally within consumer electronics or a high-volume manufacturing environment. Your strong experience in equipment design, development, qualification, and deployment from NPI to mass production sets you apart. You have a proven track record of successfully bringing new products from design conception to high-volume production, showcasing your ability to bridge design and manufacturing effectively.
You possess a strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, materials, and automation technologies. Your knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and metrology principles is extensive, allowing you to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing. You are a natural leader who can inspire and guide a team of skilled engineers, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in advanced manufacturing.
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for Apple's next-generation Audio products. You will drive manufacturing automation innovation from concept to mass production, ensuring that all processes meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Your leadership will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and manufacturing, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
You will oversee the entire manufacturing process, from initial design through to mass production, ensuring that all equipment and processes are optimized for performance and reliability. Your role will involve working closely with design teams to ensure that manufacturability is considered at every stage of product development. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers within the company.
As a key player in the manufacturing engineering team, you will be expected to stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies.
