Convene is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences at their conference and events venues. This role requires strong knowledge of service standards and previous supervisory experience in hospitality.
You have a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a conference center or a related field, with a preference for previous supervisory responsibility. You possess a strong knowledge of service standards and different service types, along with an understanding of food and beverage preparation techniques. You are familiar with health department rules and regulations, as well as liquor laws and regulations. Your physical capabilities include the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance, and you can reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You are comfortable standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
As a Conference & Events Supervisor at Convene, you will be the fountain of knowledge and the go-to person at the venue. Your primary goal will be to oversee all daily food and beverage operations, ensuring that guests consistently receive the best-in-class, seamless experience that Convene is known for. You will be responsible for training and supervising staff, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations during events and conferences, addressing any guest concerns promptly and effectively. Your role will involve a hands-on approach to managing the food and beverage service, ensuring that every detail is attended to and that guests leave with memorable experiences.
