You have a minimum of 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience and are eager to join Carvana, the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history. As an entry-level Auto Body Repair Technician, you are ready to learn and grow in a high-tech environment. You are a team player who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and can adapt to the business's needs, including working mandatory overtime when required.
You possess a valid driver’s license and can read, write, speak, and understand English. You are enthusiastic about using state-of-the-art tools and techniques in one of Carvana's high-tech Inspection Centers. You are also open to participating in training programs that will help you develop your skills and advance your career within the company.
In this role, you will be responsible for prepping vehicles for paint, which includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging/tear down, and buffing. You will work closely with other technicians to ensure that vehicles meet Carvana's high standards for quality and appearance. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you prepare vehicles for the next stages of the repair process.
You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all tools and materials are properly stored and accounted for. As part of the team, you will contribute to the overall efficiency of the inspection process, helping to deliver vehicles to customers in a timely manner. You will also have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills.
