What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Firmware Engineer at Samsara, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the on-device software for our Video-Safety products. You will design and implement edge AI solutions that enhance the functionality of our embedded devices, ensuring they meet the high standards of safety and performance required in the field. Your role will involve collaborating with hardware engineers to optimize the integration of software and hardware components, focusing on delivering high-quality, reliable firmware.

You will also work on developing algorithms that process HD video and provide in-cab driver assistance, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our customers' operations. Your expertise in machine learning will be crucial as you explore innovative ways to leverage AI on the edge, enabling real-time decision-making capabilities in our products. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the firmware lifecycle.
