You are a proactive communicator, capable of interfacing with both suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive sourcing decisions. Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or satellite industry would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with cost management strategies and should-cost modeling is also beneficial. You may have a background in engineering or a related field, which helps you understand the technical requirements of the hardware you are sourcing.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the demand plan and sourcing for hardware used in the Starlink satellite constellation. You will work directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with project goals. Your responsibilities will include pulling and aggregating demand data to create accurate demand signals, which are crucial for production planning. You will act as the primary interface for all RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring that the sourcing process is efficient and effective. You will partner with internal teams to run the RFX process and use the evaluation results to make informed sourcing decisions. Additionally, you will manage costs aggressively to adhere to project-specific budgets and forecasts, developing should-cost models to guide your strategies. Your role will be pivotal in enabling rate production in the satellite factory of the future, contributing to SpaceX's mission of making human life multi-planetary.
