Job Description

**About the Role** We are seeking a Head of Delivery Self Serve to lead Uber’s global merchant self-serve business—one of the largest and fastest-growing acquisition channels in Delivery. This leader will define and drive the strategy to rapidly scale merchant acquisition and strengthen onboarding and engagement through a combination of product-led growth, sales and operational improvements, performance marketing, and pricing and promotions. The scale and impact of this opportunity are significant: today, over 30% of global Delivery SMB Gross Bookings (GBs) come from merchants acquired via Self Serve, and more than 65,000 new merchants joined Uber through this channel in 2025. Our goal is to more than double SMB merchant acquisition through Self Serve by 2028, making this one of the most largest growth engines across the Delivery business. The Head of Delivery Self Serve will own the global business, partnering across regional operations, marketing, product, and DCO teams to drive sustained, scalable growth. This includes shaping the product vision to simplify and automate the merchant journey—from self-signup and onboarding to early lifecycle success—while evolving sales, operations, and BPO models to align with increasing automation. Success will require a blend of strategic foresight, operational rigor, and executional excellence to unlock growth efficiently and at global scale. **What You’ll Do** - Own the global self-serve merchant acquisition business for Uber Delivery, accountable for growth, operational and financial performance, and strategy across all regions - Lead a cross-functional team spanning product, marketing, operations, and analytics to scale adoption, improve conversion, and increase merchant acquisition and engagement through Self Serve - Partner with Product to drive automation of the self-serve experience—including self sign-up, onboarding, and early lifecycle—while ensuring seamless integration with regional operations and sales models - Collaborate with Operations and BPO partners to adapt workflows, capacity models, and support structures as automation drives more efficient merchant acquisition and servicing - Work closely with Marketing to develop and execute high-performing digital acquisition and engagement campaigns, optimizing funnel efficiency and retention - Partner with Operations to explore operational funnel process improvements to increase merchant acquisition, while mitigating risk and fraud - Partner with Finance to stand up a Merchant Self Serve P&L, with set budgets for investment levers and key ROI guardrails. Prioritize investments and initiatives that deliver the highest impact on merchant growth, leveraging data to inform regional focus and resource allocation - Set and track global performance metrics, surfacing insights to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement in lead generation, conversion, cost efficiency, and merchant experience **Basic Qualifications** - 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles with growth, P&L, or acquisition accountability - Proven success leading large-scale, cross-functional teams across product, marketing, and operations - Experience with self-serve or product-led growth models in global or multi-regional businesses - Demonstrated ability to drive growth and efficiency at scale through automation, product innovation, and operational change **Preferred Qualifications** - Leadership experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or SaaS businesses with complex supply ecosystems - Deep understanding of self-serve merchant acquisition funnels and lifecycle engagement - Strategic operator who balances long-term platform design with near-term performance optimization - Skilled at influencing across functions and geographies without direct authority - Experience driving transformation in operational and BPO models through automation - Analytical, metrics-driven leader with a track record of delivering measurable business impact - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$221,000 per year - USD$245,500 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link [https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits](https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits). Uber's mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better.
