Are you ready to shape the future of logistics? We're seeking innovative Software Development Engineers to join our team in developing advanced technology solutions that will revolutionize how packages reach their final destination!

The Last Mile Technology organization is pioneering sophisticated cloud-based solutions that are transforming Amazon Logistics (AMZL). Our mission is to create intelligent, efficient, and scalable systems that enhance delivery operations while maintaining Amazon's highest standards for safety and reliability.

As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you'll work on systems that process massive amounts of real-time data, optimize complex operations, and make intelligent decisions at scale. You'll be building mission-critical applications that coordinate thousands of events across Tier-1 last mile tech ecosystem.

- Cloud-Scale Impact: Design and implement distributed systems that process millions of events daily

Required Technical Skills:

- Strong experience with distributed systems and cloud computing (AWS)
- Expertise in building scalable, reliable microservices
- Proficiency in languages such as Java
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Background in building high-throughput, low-latency systems
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems

Join us in building the future of delivery technology at Amazon!- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- Knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion and perception systems, including work with sensors (cameras, LIDAR, radar)
- Experience with behavior planning or decision-making systems for AI agents such as motion planning, path finding algorithms, or navigation systems
- Background in real-time systems and embedded software development
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with frameworks such as ROS/ROS2
- Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, IsaacSIM)
- Understanding of localization and mapping (SLAM) techniques
- Experience with safety-critical software development practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
