LAIKA is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the Head of Business Development and the team in coordinating licensing, publishing, and distribution initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners.
You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to coordinate and communicate effectively across various teams. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to support the Head of Business Development and the broader team in their initiatives. Your organizational skills allow you to maintain deal infrastructure and track partner activities efficiently. You understand the importance of clear communication and timely follow-ups with external partners, ensuring that all agreements are managed effectively.
You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are comfortable working with various stakeholders, including marketing, creative, finance, and legal teams. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively will be key to your success in this role. You are committed to fostering strong relationships with partners and ensuring that all licensing, publishing, and distribution agreements are executed smoothly.
Experience in business development or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with licensing and publishing processes. You may have a background in project management or operations, which will help you excel in this position.
In this role, you will facilitate day-to-day communication with external partners, including licensees, publishers, distributors, and sales agents. You will ensure that all active agreements are tracked and that key milestones and deliverables are met. Supporting the Head of Business Development, you will prepare for meetings, create agendas, and follow up on action items to ensure that all team members are aligned and informed.
You will be responsible for maintaining deal-related records and materials, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. Your role will involve tracking the status of various agreements, including renewal dates and expiration timelines, to ensure that the business development team is always prepared for upcoming negotiations.
You will partner with the Licensing & Business Development Specialist to administer licensing management software and related systems. This will involve maintaining partner records, entering agreement terms, and tracking partner activity to support ongoing relationships and initiatives.
