Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop applications for Android Wear. You'll work with Java and Kotlin to design and maintain large-scale applications. This role requires 5+ years of software development experience.
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. Your background includes 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and you have a solid understanding of large-scale application design and architecture. With 3 years of experience in Android application development, you are proficient in writing code in Kotlin or Java. You also have a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, and ideally, you have experience developing accessible technologies. You are versatile and display leadership qualities, ready to tackle new problems across the full-stack as the business evolves.
A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience with large-scale systems and a passion for developing innovative technologies that impact billions of users is a plus.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of technology. You will collaborate with managers and UX designers to scope and build new features, architecting the full application stack, including UX, database, and system performance. Your role will involve interacting with carrier and OEM partners to build solutions tailored to their requirements.
