SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician to stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware. You'll work with various mechanical tools and troubleshoot fluid and mechanical systems. This position requires 2+ years of hands-on experience in assembly and maintenance.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of professional hands-on experience in assembly, test, maintenance, repair, and/or installation. You are familiar with mechanical tools and can operate them without instruction. Your experience may include an Airframe & Powerplant license or an associate degree in aerospace technology or a related field. You have knowledge of pressure, temperature, and flow measurement devices, and you are comfortable working in a clean room environment. You understand the importance of quality in building systems and mechanical equipment that support successful launches.
As an Integration Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for staging, setting up, assembling, testing, and installing flight hardware. You will engage in hands-on operations with both large and small, fragile assemblies, ensuring that all components are assembled to the highest quality standards. Your role will involve maintaining and installing fluid system components from schematics or drawings, including ball and check valves, pressure regulators, and gauges. You will troubleshoot operational issues that arise during the activation of fluid and mechanical systems, including hydraulic systems and high-pressure nitrogen and helium systems. Collaborating with a team of technicians and engineers, you will contribute to the successful launch of multi-million dollar launch vehicles by ensuring that all systems are built with precision and care.
