Senior Software Engineer, Search Performance (Backend)

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the search performance of Cribl's data engine, enabling customers to analyze and visualize their operational data efficiently. You will design and implement backend services that distribute queries to various data sources, ensuring optimal performance without the need for costly data replication. You will collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define the requirements for new features and improvements, ensuring that the backend architecture supports the overall product vision. You will also be involved in performance tuning and optimization, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve response times. Your role will include writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold high standards of quality. You will contribute to the development of technical documentation and assist in troubleshooting production issues as they arise. Your work will directly impact how customers interact with their data, making it easier for them to derive insights and make informed decisions.
