What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of machine learning models that enhance the search and discovery experience for Coupang's customers. You will work closely with data engineers to build data pipelines that ensure the availability of high-quality data for model training and evaluation. Your responsibilities will include conducting experiments to validate model performance and iterating on designs based on feedback and results.

You will collaborate with product managers and UX designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your insights will help shape the direction of product features and improvements, ensuring that the solutions you develop align with customer expectations and business goals.

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you will also be responsible for setting best practices for model development and deployment, ensuring that the team adheres to high standards of code quality and documentation. You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
