Who you are

You have a strong background in technical writing, with at least 5 years of experience creating clear and concise documentation for complex products. You understand the importance of user experience and can translate technical concepts into user-friendly content. You are comfortable working independently and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and QA. Your attention to detail ensures that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and you are proactive in identifying areas for improvement in existing documentation.

You have experience with documentation tools and platforms, and you are familiar with best practices in technical writing. You are adaptable and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality. You are passionate about enhancing the developer experience and understand the role that documentation plays in achieving this goal. You are open to feedback and continuously seek to improve your writing skills and documentation processes.

Desirable

Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with content management systems. Knowledge of software development processes and an understanding of the technical aspects of the products you document will help you excel in this role. You are also comfortable using tools like Git for version control and collaboration.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the documentation for specific product areas, ensuring that users and customers can easily understand how to use our products. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to gather information and create comprehensive documentation that meets the needs of our users. Your initial focus will be on integrating documentation for a new product into our existing documentation set, ensuring a seamless transition without disrupting current processes.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation standards and processes as our platform grows. This includes creating user guides, API documentation, and other technical materials that support our customers and internal teams. You will also collaborate with the Technical Documentation team to build out documentation infrastructure that scales with our growing customer base and rapid development lifecycle.

Your role will involve regular reviews and updates of existing documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance. You will gather feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of our documentation. Additionally, you will participate in cross-functional meetings to stay aligned with product development and ensure that documentation is delivered in a timely manner.
