Overview

Skillsoft is seeking a Federal Account Executive to drive revenue growth within the Federal Government sector. You'll leverage a strategic, value-selling approach to build relationships and influence decision-makers. This role requires a proven track record in sales and relationship management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales, particularly within the Federal Government sector, and possess a hunter mentality that drives you to seek out new opportunities. Your experience includes navigating complex organizations and building relationships with multiple decision-makers, including C-suite executives. You are results-oriented, with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and developing a robust pipeline of business. You excel in needs-based selling and understand the importance of creating value for your clients through tailored solutions. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to engage effectively with diverse buying profiles and foster long-term partnerships. You are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment, always looking for ways to improve your sales strategies and outcomes.

Desirable

Experience in selling learning solutions or services to government entities is a plus. Familiarity with digital communication tools and in-person engagement strategies will enhance your ability to connect with clients. A background in strategic sales methodologies will also be beneficial as you work to influence senior leadership and drive top-line revenue.

What you'll do

As a Federal Account Executive at Skillsoft, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the expansion of an existing enterprise account base within the Federal Government. Your primary focus will be on selling Skillsoft's content, services, and platform solutions directly to decision-makers in government agencies. You will leverage your relationship-building skills to influence existing clients at the senior leadership level, ensuring that you address their unique challenges with effective solutions. You will create measurable business goals with defined timelines related to revenue and pipeline growth, working closely with your clients to understand their needs and deliver value. Your role will involve both digital communication and in-person customer engagement, allowing you to build strong, lasting relationships. You will collaborate with related sales teams to align strategies and maximize opportunities for growth. Additionally, you will track your progress against goals and adjust your approach as necessary to ensure success.
