What you'll do

As the Engineering Lead for Custody at BitMEX, you will oversee the development and enhancement of the Funds & Wallets system, which is critical for managing digital asset custody. You will lead a team of engineers, guiding them in best practices for software development and ensuring that the systems are robust, secure, and scalable. Your role will involve collaborating closely with Trading and Wallet Technology Engineers to integrate new features and improve existing functionalities. You will be responsible for setting technical direction and ensuring that the team adheres to high standards of code quality and security practices. You will also engage in strategic planning, helping to define the roadmap for custody solutions and aligning it with the overall business objectives of BitMEX. Regularly reviewing system performance and implementing improvements will be key aspects of your responsibilities. You will foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within your team, encouraging them to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the custody experience for users.
