You have experience in logistics and transportation, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing a team during transport operations, ensuring that all personnel and equipment are coordinated effectively. Your ability to evaluate risks and provide on-site solutions is crucial for this role. You are familiar with DOT/CFR compliance and can prepare necessary documentation for transport strategies. As a Transport Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for coordinating the transport of flight modules from various locations, including Hawthorne, CA to McGregor, TX and Cape Canaveral, FL. You will oversee the entire transport crew and support staff, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. Your role will involve reviewing transportation documentation to prepare for each transport, including permits and contingency plans. You will travel with the assigned flight module, providing input and recommendations for compliance with transportation regulations. Evaluating in-transit risks and implementing solutions will be key aspects of your responsibilities, as you work to mitigate any potential issues during transport.
