Optiver is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their China Options team. You'll be responsible for setting architectural direction and delivering well-engineered code for trading systems. This role requires at least 3 years of experience and expertise in Java and machine learning.
You have at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong curiosity about how trading works and a passion for solving complex problems. You are comfortable working with various tools and technologies, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the trading environment. Your experience includes designing and developing systems that are efficient and scalable, and you have a solid understanding of distributed systems and low-latency requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with traders and researchers to innovate and improve trading strategies.
Experience with machine learning models and their application in trading systems is a plus. Familiarity with high-performance server environments and automated trading stacks will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in seeking out new ideas and technologies that can enhance trading performance and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced, results-driven team.
In this role, you will own the design, development, and deployment of services that comprise Optiver's globally distributed trading platform.
