Overview

Esri is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to deploy and operate ArcGIS Velocity and ArcGIS Workflow Manager SaaS solutions. You'll work with AWS technologies to design and manage next-generation GIS software capabilities. This role requires strong expertise in cloud operations and reliability engineering.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong focus on cloud technologies and operational excellence. Your background includes deploying and managing SaaS solutions, particularly in the GIS domain, where you've contributed to enhancing system reliability and performance. You possess a deep understanding of AWS services and have experience in designing scalable architectures that support real-time data processing.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and professional development, always seeking opportunities to expand your skill set and take on new challenges.

Desirable

Experience with big data technologies and real-time processing frameworks is a plus. Familiarity with GIS software and tools will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. You are also comfortable with automation tools and practices that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and operating ArcGIS Velocity and ArcGIS Workflow Manager solutions, ensuring they meet the performance and reliability standards expected by our customers. You will design and implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users. Your expertise in AWS will be crucial as you leverage cloud services to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with software engineers to enhance the reliability of applications, providing guidance on best practices for deployment and operations. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues in production environments, where your analytical skills will be put to the test. You will also contribute to the development of documentation and training materials to support team members and clients.

As part of the Professional Services division, you will engage with high-profile clients, helping them leverage our technology to achieve their goals. You will participate in project planning and execution, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and to the highest quality standards.
