Formlabs is seeking a Senior Materials Scientist to conduct research and develop innovative materials for 3D printing. You'll collaborate with engineers to ensure material performance and reliability. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in polymer development.
You are a highly curious formulation expert with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in polymer development, including resins, coatings, adhesives, elastomers, films, foams, rubbers, composites, thermoplastics, or thermosets. You possess a solid understanding of polymer chemistry and are eager to shape a rapidly growing industry. Your hands-on experience allows you to conduct research and develop world-class materials for 3D printing, from initial lab explorations to validation and commercialization.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure that new and existing materials print seamlessly and reliably on our hardware. Your ability to design and perform experiments, analyze results, and implement performance improvements is key to your success in this role. You are passionate about innovation and are excited to contribute to the future of fabrication.
Experience with advanced materials and a background in 3D printing technologies would be a plus. Familiarity with product management and engineering processes will enhance your ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $110,000—$160,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance with your impact.
