Waterworks is hiring a Junior Industrial Designer to support the Product Design team in creating luxury products for the home category. This role requires strong foundational design skills and a passion for craftsmanship. You'll work in a collaborative environment in Danbury, Connecticut.
You are a Junior Industrial Designer with a strong foundational design skill set and an exceptional visual sensibility. You have a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and materials, and you understand the heritage of luxury interior design. You are highly organized and communicate clearly and confidently, which allows you to translate conceptual thinking into refined, manufacturable outcomes. Your passion for creating world-class products drives you to contribute meaningfully to the design process. You thrive in a collaborative environment and value the contributions of your team members, understanding that great design is a collective effort.
In this role, you will support the Waterworks Product Design team in the creation of new luxury products that span various categories. You will collaborate closely with other designers and stakeholders to ensure that the products not only meet aesthetic standards but also align with manufacturability requirements. Your responsibilities will include participating in brainstorming sessions, developing design concepts, and refining prototypes based on feedback. You will also be involved in researching materials and trends to inform your designs, ensuring that they resonate with the luxury market. As part of your role, you will contribute to presentations and documentation that communicate your design ideas effectively to the team and other departments.
