Financial analyst

Overview

sweetgreen is seeking a Manager of Corporate Finance to guide strategic decisions through financial analysis and data-driven insights. You'll collaborate with various teams to optimize pricing strategies and menu performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong analytical mindset and a collaborative spirit — as a Manager of Corporate Finance, you will partner with key stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Culinary, and Supply Chain to drive strategic financial decisions. Your experience in financial analysis will enable you to tackle unstructured problems and develop creative solutions that impact the future of food.

With a background in financial analysis, you are adept at performing store-level financial assessments and menu performance evaluations — you understand the importance of demand forecasting for new products and how it influences the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes. Your ability to develop new frameworks and models will help address previously undefined business questions, ensuring that financial impacts are well understood in decision-making.

You thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy delivering insights that shape business strategies — your expertise in pricing strategy and sensitivity analysis will allow you to evaluate pricing scenarios effectively, balancing growth and margin. You are skilled at analyzing the performance of existing and new menu items, identifying trends in margin, product mix, and guest behavior to optimize offerings.

Desirable

Experience in the food industry or a similar fast-paced environment would be a plus, as would familiarity with advanced financial modeling techniques. You are comfortable working with external pricing consultants and have a knack for translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as a strategic thought partner to various teams, guiding them through financial analysis and insights that drive business decisions. You will conduct store-level financial analysis, focusing on menu performance and demand forecasting for new products. Your responsibilities will include supporting the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring that financial impacts are incorporated into strategic discussions.

You will collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing strategies that balance growth and margin — your insights will help shape pricing scenarios and recommendations. Additionally, you will analyze the performance of existing and new menu items, highlighting trends in margin and product mix to optimize offerings. Your role will also involve understanding customer behavior and trends, allowing you to provide valuable insights that inform menu development and marketing strategies.

What we offer

At sweetgreen, we are committed to building healthier communities through real food — as part of our Finance team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company. We offer a collaborative work environment where your analytical skills will be valued and your contributions will directly impact our mission. Join us in making a difference in the food industry while advancing your career in corporate finance.
