Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in backend development, where you've successfully built and maintained production systems that handle large volumes of data. Your expertise in Java allows you to design and implement high-performance APIs that are crucial for data synchronization and integration. You understand the complexities of distributed systems and have experience in monitoring and observability tools to ensure platform health and reliability.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product teams to simplify user experiences. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between engineering and product management. You are passionate about data and understand how to leverage it to enhance user experiences and drive business growth.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with data management tools and frameworks. What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer II at HubSpot, you will be a key member of the Sync Config team, responsible for building and maintaining backend services that power the Data Sync and Data Studio products. You will work on real-time two-way sync platforms that connect external SaaS tools with HubSpot’s CRM, ensuring seamless data integration for over 250,000 customers worldwide. Your role will involve designing and implementing APIs that facilitate data synchronization, as well as developing monitoring tools to maintain platform health.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the configuration experience for users, enabling deep integrations across HubSpot’s ecosystem. Your work will directly impact how organizations manage and elevate their data, particularly in the current AI-driven landscape. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
