Our LA office is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly, from maintaining records and reports to supporting monthly close and account reconciliations. We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow their accounting career within a company that’s expanding fast and values its people every step of the way.
This entry-level Staff Accountant role is designed for candidates at the beginning of their accounting careers, including those with internship experience, academic training, or limited professional exposure to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting operations. The role offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and growth within a collaborative accounting team.
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including but not limited to: account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and researching discrepancies
Process and enter monthly credit card statements
Enter accounts receivable billable numbers based on internal reports
Match and organize received bills to internal reports
Process received bills for payment
Manage a weekly check run from processing to mailing
Maintain and organize all vendor files
Receive payments and process deposits
Contact and collect delinquent accounts
Research, track and resolve any accounting issues
Compile daily performance data and prepare a variety of reports
Maintain and organize accounting files and agreements
Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
Assist Controller and Accounting Manager with annual financial audit
Ad-hoc projects, reporting and account reconciliations, and other assignments as needed to support the finance team
0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships, part-time roles, or relevant academic coursework
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Foundational understanding of accounting principles, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Ability to analyze information, follow established processes, and resolve discrepancies
with guidance
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven
environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Experience with accounting or financial systems a plus, but not required (FloQast,
Intacct, or similar)
This is a hybrid position, and employees are expected to work in our Playa Vista, CA office every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
