Squarepoint Capital is hiring a Graduate Support Specialist to kickstart your financial technology career. You'll support critical trading applications and infrastructure services using skills in Python, Bash, and Linux. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates.
You are a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical/Electrical/Network Engineering, or a similar discipline. You possess working knowledge of at least one of Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and have a good understanding of Linux. Your familiarity with TCP/IP concepts and general knowledge of database technologies will serve you well in this role. You have exceptional communication skills and attention to detail, and you thrive in a collaborative global team environment. Your eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and your curiosity about solving new problems make you a great fit for this position.
While not required, some experience working in a technical support role or familiarity with financial markets would be advantageous. You are driven by the challenge of solving new problems and are excited about the opportunity to grow your professional skills in a dynamic environment.
In this role, you will support and fortify the stability of critical trading applications and infrastructure services. You will apply your technical and critical thinking skills to define and implement new processes, coordinate the onboarding of new applications, broker connections, or exchanges, and manage changes to the production environment carefully. You will work closely with a global team of exceptional Application and Infrastructure support specialists, contributing to operational efficiency and resilience at great scale. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and ensuring that applications run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain insights into the financial technology sector.
