Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for their Data Application Software team to create mission-critical applications that support launch vehicle production and flight. You'll work with technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure system reliability and performance.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in Linux and cloud technologies. Your expertise in AWS and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes allows you to manage and scale complex systems effectively. You are proficient in programming languages such as Python and Java, enabling you to automate processes and improve system performance. Your experience with databases, particularly PostgreSQL, equips you to handle data management and optimization tasks. You are familiar with version control systems like Git and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, which help you maintain and deploy reliable infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems and drive impactful solutions.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring tools and practices is a plus, as you will be responsible for ensuring system reliability and performance. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices will enhance your ability to contribute to the team's success. You are motivated by SpaceX's mission and eager to make a significant impact in the aerospace industry.

What you'll do

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at SpaceX, you will take ownership of mission-critical applications that support the company's ambitious goals.
