You have 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on building and maintaining reliable production systems. Your expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, allows you to design and implement scalable solutions that meet the demands of a growing user base. You are proficient in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to streamline deployment processes and enhance system reliability.
Your programming skills in Python and familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform empower you to automate processes and improve operational efficiency. You understand the importance of monitoring and observability, and you have experience implementing solutions that provide insights into system performance and health. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to ensure that reliability is a shared responsibility across the organization.
You are passionate about continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance system performance and reduce downtime. Your analytical mindset helps you identify potential issues before they impact users, and you are comfortable participating in on-call rotations to respond to incidents as they arise. You believe in the value of documentation and knowledge sharing, contributing to a culture of learning within your team.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI is a plus, as it aligns with your goal of automating deployment processes. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog or Prometheus will help you effectively track system metrics and respond to alerts. You may also have experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef, which can further enhance your ability to manage infrastructure at scale.

Your expertise in cloud infrastructure will guide the team in making informed decisions about resource allocation and scaling strategies. You will also contribute to the development of on-call procedures, helping to create a culture of accountability and responsiveness.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their roles. You will participate in regular retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance team performance. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience, as you work to create a fast, reliable, and productive environment for both engineers and customers.
