Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer to drive the adoption of Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business. You'll leverage your technical expertise in scripting languages and cloud technologies to support partners and enhance customer solutions. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical position.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer or Technical Consultant. Your experience includes writing and maintaining developer-facing documentation and creating technical educational content or customer-facing presentations. You are proficient in using scripting languages like Python, Node.js, or Go to build internal tools and automate workflows.

You possess a strong understanding of conversational messaging technology, including rich messaging, bots, and API platforms. Your familiarity with GSMA standards, SMS/MMS gateways, and telecom signaling enhances your ability to propose effective solutions. Additionally, you have experience with cloud technologies, particularly in architecting and maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments.

Your technical skills extend to working with RESTful APIs, OAuth2, and JSON-based webhooks, which are crucial for integrating various systems and ensuring seamless communication. You also have a solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including Display Ads, Search, and programmatic advertising, and how messaging can serve as a conversion channel.

You are adept at providing clear goals and creating narrative messaging that drives alignment across product, sales, and partner teams. Your ability to manage executive-level stakeholder interactions and lead cross-functional efforts is a testament to your strong communication and leadership skills.

Desirable

A Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field would be a plus, as would any additional experience in the telecommunications sector or with cloud data engineering.

In your role as a Senior Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer at Google, you will be the core technical engine driving the adoption and hyper-growth of the Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business platform. You will transform traditional business-to-consumer and consumer-to-business communication by proposing innovative solutions that leverage the latest messaging technologies.
