Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer for their Starlink project to design advanced antenna systems for satellites. You'll collaborate with various engineering teams and influence the operation of the satellite constellation. This role requires expertise in RF systems and antenna design.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in antenna engineering, specifically with phased array antennas and RF systems. Your background includes designing and testing advanced antenna systems for satellite applications, and you have a strong understanding of the challenges involved in satellite communications. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to bring innovative solutions to life. You are comfortable presenting your ideas to senior leadership and influencing project direction based on your expertise. You are passionate about space technology and are excited about the potential of satellite communications to change the world.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems and a deep understanding of the principles of RF engineering would be a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes for antennas and experience in a fast-paced engineering environment will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Antenna Engineer at SpaceX, you will take ownership of the design and development of advanced antenna systems for the Starlink satellite constellation. You will work on phased array antennas and parabolic antennas, ensuring they meet the rigorous performance standards required for satellite communications. Your role will involve collaborating with electrical, silicon, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to steer projects from initial conception through to production. You will be responsible for conducting simulations and tests to validate antenna performance and reliability, and you will iterate on designs based on test results and feedback from your peers. You will also have the opportunity to innovate and develop new technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible in satellite communications.
