SpaceX is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at the Starship production site in Starbase, TX. You'll perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of equipment critical to Starship production, including heavy transit vehicles and industrial machinery.
You have a strong background in maintenance and repair, particularly with automotive assets and heavy industrial equipment. Your experience includes troubleshooting and repairing complex automation systems, ensuring that all fleet assets are in optimal operating condition. You are skilled in working with control and electrical systems, including PLCs and HMIs, and have a solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Your hands-on experience with automated tool mechanical systems, such as ballscrews and linear rails, makes you a valuable asset to the team. You are comfortable driving forklifts and company vehicles, and you take pride in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Experience with diesel engines and self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) is a plus. You are familiar with various industrial machinery and have a proactive approach to preventative maintenance. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands is essential for success in this role.
As a Fleet Maintenance Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all fleet assets to ensure their proper operating condition. You will provide preventative and corrective maintenance on various complex automation systems for transport systems, troubleshooting and repairing control and electrical system failures. Your role will involve working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring that actuators, valves, pumps, and filters are functioning correctly. You will also troubleshoot and repair automated tool mechanical systems, including gearboxes and 3-phase motors, to support the fast-paced demands of Starship manufacturing. Your contributions will ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness, which are critical to the success of the Starship production process.
