Ruggable is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to enhance manufacturing operations at their Bedford Park facility. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams to implement improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting and modifying equipment.
You have a strong background in continuous improvement and manufacturing engineering, with hands-on experience in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. You are comfortable designing, building, and modifying equipment and processes, not just documenting improvements. Your ability to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and uptime is essential. You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement effective solutions. You understand the importance of technical depth within manufacturing operations and are eager to contribute to the scaling of Ruggable's Chicago operation. You possess a proactive mindset and are committed to delivering results that enhance operational efficiency.
Experience in a high-growth startup environment is a plus, as is familiarity with e-commerce and consumer products. You may also have knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, which will further enhance your contributions to the team.
In this role, you will be deeply embedded on the production floor, working directly with teams to identify areas for improvement. You will lead initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting equipment and processes, implementing physical fixes, and ensuring that improvements are sustainable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design repeatable processes that enhance productivity and reduce waste. As the Chicago operation scales, your role will be critical in strengthening the technical capabilities of the plant. You will also be responsible for training employees on new processes and improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
