SpaceX is hiring a Manufacturing Specialist for the Starshield project to support the production of satellites. You'll design tooling and processes while collaborating with engineering teams. This role requires experience in manufacturing and engineering principles.
You have a background in manufacturing and engineering, with experience in designing tooling and processes for production. You understand the intricacies of vehicle integration and are skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during production. Your ability to work closely with cross-functional teams ensures that solutions meet mission requirements effectively. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing the transition of parts and assemblies from development to high-rate production. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.
Experience with satellite manufacturing or aerospace engineering is a plus. Familiarity with quality assurance processes and testing methodologies will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are comfortable working with engineers to execute subsystem development testing.
As a Manufacturing Specialist at SpaceX, you will perform daily production activities, including sub-assembly builds and vehicle integration. You will be responsible for resolving issue tickets and conducting test checkouts to ensure that all systems function as intended. Collaborating closely with systems and design teams, you will develop procedures and processes that facilitate the efficient transition of parts from development to production. You will coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling to meet hardware deadlines. Your role will also involve analyzing and resolving integration and manufacturing challenges, ensuring that production goals are met without compromising quality.
