Monzo is seeking a Senior Product Design Manager to lead a team of designers in creating user-centric banking solutions. You'll collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, leveraging your design expertise to enhance customer experiences. This role requires significant experience in product design and offers a competitive salary.
You have over 5 years of experience in product design, leading teams to create impactful user experiences that resonate with customers. Your background includes working in fast-paced environments where you’ve successfully managed design projects from concept to execution, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of your work. You possess a deep understanding of design principles and methodologies, and you are proficient in tools like Figma, which you use to create intuitive and engaging designs. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with product managers and engineers to bring innovative ideas to life. You are passionate about solving real customer problems and have a track record of designing products that not only meet business goals but also delight users. You understand the importance of user research and testing, and you incorporate feedback into your design process to continuously improve the user experience.
Experience in the fintech industry is a plus, as is familiarity with banking products and services. You are comfortable mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation within your team. You have a keen eye for detail and a strong aesthetic sense, which you apply to ensure that all design outputs are polished and professional.
As the Senior Product Design Manager at Monzo, you will lead a talented team of designers, guiding them in the creation of user-friendly banking solutions that simplify financial management for our customers. You will be responsible for setting the design vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap. Your role will involve conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are feasible and aligned with technical capabilities. You will oversee the design process, from ideation through to prototyping and user testing, ensuring that all designs are validated against user needs and business objectives. You will also play a key role in advocating for design thinking within the organization, promoting a user-centered approach to product development.
At Monzo, we offer a competitive salary ranging from £110,000 to £125,000, along with share options that allow you to be part of our growth journey.
