Job Description

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As part of Leo's Supply-Inventory Optimization Reservations & Traffic-Management (SORT) team, you will play a pivotal role in managing Leo's network capacity. Your primary focus will be building measurement frameworks and automated systems that standardize how we provision network resources for service plans. You will develop tools and processes that enable precise tracking of both planned and actual network network usage and bandwidth yield, creating mechanisms that provide visibility into key performance metrics to identify when adjustments are needed. This includes establishing clear approval workflows and change management processes to ensure updates are properly validated before implementation.

Working closely with engineering teams, you will develop increasingly sophisticated methods to improve prediction accuracy, detect emerging trends, and recommend adjustments to network provisioning. These insights will feed directly into the service plan catalog, capacity planning, capacity reservations, and financial forecasting systems, enabling data-driven decisions about resource allocation and bandwidth yield.

The ideal candidate brings experience in technical product management with a focus on measurement systems and operational processes. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets, building analytical frameworks, and developing clear processes for implementing changes. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you'll work across multiple technical and business teams to implement and maintain these critical systems.

Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear, actionable processes. You should be energized by the challenge of building robust frameworks that can scale with our growing network while maintaining precision and reliability.
