Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform and Enablement

Who you are

You have a strong background in deploying and managing AI models, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. You thrive in a fast-moving environment and are comfortable navigating the complexities of integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into established products. Your expertise in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks enable you to tackle complex technical challenges effectively.

You possess a deep understanding of AI infrastructure, including data ingestion pipelines and model evaluation frameworks. Your experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes allows you to optimize and scale AI models efficiently. You are a collaborative team player, eager to work alongside Product Managers, Research Engineers, and AI Researchers to ensure robust and scalable AI systems.

Desirable

Experience with third-party model integrations and a solid grasp of GPU infrastructure will set you apart. Familiarity with cloud platforms and their AI services is a plus, as is any exposure to open-source AI models. You are passionate about leveraging AI to enhance user experiences and drive innovation in audio and video content creation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and standardizing third-party model integrations within the Descript product. You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to address their AI model integration needs, ensuring that our systems are efficient and effective. Your work will involve designing and implementing AI infrastructure that supports the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data ingestion to deployment.

You will optimize and scale our AI models and algorithms for efficient inference, ensuring that they perform well in production environments. Monitoring and managing AI models will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you strive to maintain high performance and reliability. You will also play a crucial role in consulting with other teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions that enhance our AI capabilities.
