Affirm is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design and lead the development of data infrastructure and pipelines. You'll work with technologies like Airflow, BigQuery, and Python to enable reliable access to data. This role requires extensive experience in data engineering and analytics.
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines and systems. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring data quality and reliability. You are familiar with tools like Airflow and BigQuery, which you have used to orchestrate data workflows and manage data storage solutions. You understand the importance of data governance and compliance, and you advocate for best practices in data modeling and transformation. As a mentor, you enjoy guiding junior engineers and sharing your knowledge of data architecture and analytics platforms. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
Experience with Docker and Elasticsearch is a plus, as these tools enhance your ability to manage and query data efficiently. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and analytics frameworks will further strengthen your contributions to the team.
