Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering at Voomi Supply, you will translate Voomi’s product and technology strategy into execution by building and scaling engineering teams, systems, and processes. With a focus on ecommerce technology and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our systems and processes to support our growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with Voomi Supply's strategic goals.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust systems for our ecommerce platform.

• Hire, manage, and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

• Oversee the integration of third-party APIs and external systems to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our business.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology initiatives.

• Take a hands-on approach to dive deep in design reviews, code audits, and debugging critical issues, while enabling the team to execute.

• Establish and enforce best practices for software development, quality assurance, and system security.

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of technology projects and key performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in software development and technology leadership roles.

• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce technology.

• Proficiency in ecommerce platforms such as Shopify is highly preferred.

• Experience with B2B2C integrations (supplier EDI, APIs) or marketplace/catalog platforms preferred.

• Strong understanding of Databases, SQL, APIs, technical architecture, and system integration.

• Proven track record of recruiting, building, and leading high-performing tech teams.

• Ability to operationalize ML/AI insights (pricing, content generation, anomaly detection) into production workflows

• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, or Ruby.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
