Google is seeking a Mixed Signal Silicon Lead to develop custom silicon solutions for consumer hardware. You'll leverage your expertise in electrical engineering and mixed signal design to lead cross-functional teams. This role requires 15 years of experience in custom silicon design and people management.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 15 years of experience in custom silicon design, including SoCs and ASICs. Your background includes at least 5 years in people management, demonstrating your ability to lead and inspire teams. You possess a deep understanding of both analog and digital mixed signal design disciplines, such as AMS and DMS, which allows you to navigate complex engineering challenges effectively.
Your experience with bleeding-edge process nodes in silicon foundries equips you with the knowledge to push the boundaries of technology. You have a proven track record in leading cross-functional IP development and SoC integration, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. Your expertise extends to silicon engineering topics from architecture and implementation to productization and high-volume manufacturing, making you a well-rounded candidate for this role.
You are familiar with High-Speed I/O (HSIO) PHYs, particularly DDR/LPDDR interfaces, and understand the systemic issues related to power, performance, and thermal management in mobile and AI SoCs. Your ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplined and multi-site global teams is essential for success in this position.
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous, as would experience in developing custom mixed signal technology for consumer hardware. Your ability to define and execute on a multi-year AMS roadmap for SoCs will help improve and differentiate Google products.
In this role, you will lead the development of custom mixed signal technology for Google’s consumer hardware, contributing to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. You will collaborate cross-functionally with peer groups in the broader organization to ensure that IP deliveries meet product Power, Performance, Area (PPA), and cost goals. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.
You will define and execute a multi-year AMS roadmap for SoCs, guiding your team through the complexities of silicon design and ensuring that all projects align with Google's strategic objectives. Your role will involve overseeing the entire process from architecture to implementation, ensuring that the final products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be key in driving projects forward and achieving successful outcomes.
