Google is seeking a Payment Specialist for YouTube to manage payment discrepancies and drive technical efficiency. You'll leverage data analysis and SQL to create automated solutions. This role requires 2 years of experience in data manipulation and analysis.
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in data manipulation and data analysis. Your expertise in SQL allows you to effectively translate data into actionable insights for executive stakeholders. You thrive in a matrixed environment, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills. Your attention to detail and organizational abilities enable you to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. You are adaptable and can work efficiently in a changing environment, ensuring that you meet the objectives related to payment issue resolution.
A Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Applied Science is preferred, as it enhances your analytical capabilities and understanding of complex data sets. Experience in building automated dashboards and technical infrastructure is a plus, as it aligns with the role's focus on driving efficiency.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end resolution of payment discrepancies, conducting thorough root cause analyses to identify issues and leveraging data to estimate and prioritize business impacts. You will lead payments issue management, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner while meeting service level objectives (SLOs). Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing action plans to prevent future issues, collaborating with product, engineering, operations, legal, and finance teams to secure leadership buy-in for payment-related decisions. You will also be tasked with building technical infrastructure to scale issue resolution, making processes more automated and efficient.
